Family Preservation / Reunification

  • The Family Preservation program is for families who have children or teenagers who are out of control or at imminent risk of being separated from their family.
  • The Family Reunification program is for families who require transitional or reunification services to safely reunite them with their children following an out-of-home placement.
  • Our goal is to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement by strengthening families and teaching them the skills they need to safely live together.

Outcomes
For the past twenty years, multiple studies have been conducted on this intensive in-home model of services in the United States. These studies have shown that a) the service has a significant positive effect on risk factors within the family, and b) 80-90% of children at imminent risk of out-of-home placement are able to remain safely at home following an intervention of this nature.
